UMANG marked Cerebral Palsy Day with significant initiatives. The day celebrated the lives of the 17 million individuals living with cerebral palsy (CP). Honorable Abhinav Goel Sir, IAS, CEO Zilla Parishad, launched UMANG’s website during this occasion.
Additionally, UMANG organized a free camp offering essential services to people with disabilities, underscoring its commitment to community support and inclusion.

UMANG commemorated World Occupational Day with great enthusiasm. Occupational Therapy is a vital intervention for children with neurological disabilities. It aids in introducing, maintaining, and enhancing essential skills to maximize their independence.
On this day, children receiving therapy at UMANG engaged in various interactive activities and competitions, fostering a sense of community. Our therapists also conducted awareness sessions for parents. The event was graced by the presence of Hon’ Nikhil Pingle Sir, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Latur, and Hon’ Abhinav Goel Sir, IAS, CEO Zilla Parishad, who joined the awareness program.

UMANG joyously celebrated Children’s Day on November 14th, bringing together children and their parents in a spirit of merriment. The day was marked by a series of engaging activities and games thoughtfully organized for both children and parents, as well as our dedicated therapists.
These activities provided a refreshing break from therapy routines and encouraged interaction, strengthening the bonds within our community. The chosen activities were carefully designed to be not only enjoyable but also beneficial for the children’s therapy progress and their social development.

UMANG observed World Persons with Disability Day on December 3rd with great enthusiasm and compassion. On this significant day, UMANG organized a free camp, inaugurated by Honorable Rahul Kendre, and graced by the presence of other dignitaries,
including Honorable Avinash Jain (Additional Superintendent of Police, Latur), Smt. Bharatbai Salunkhe (Vice-President, Zilla Parishad), and Shri. Rohidas Waghmare (Chairperson, Samaj Kalyan).
This free camp was a testament to UMANG’s commitment to the community, where numerous doctors and specialists generously provided their services to patients in need. Over 418 patients attended the camp, traveling from various parts of Maharashtra, including those from outside the state. UMANG’s unwavering dedication to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities was evident in the extensive support offered during this remarkable event.

The Z.P. Department of Social Welfare and Siddhivinayak Pratishthan collaborated to organize inclusive sports and cultural competitions for students with disabilities at Global Autism. The event witnessed enthusiastic and spontaneous participation from students, highlighting their remarkable abilities.
These empowering competitions aimed to foster a sense of inclusivity and unity among differently-abled individuals. Held at Umang Institute, MIDC, the event brought together approximately 250 students from 15 different schools and Umang Center, creating an inspiring and inclusive atmosphere.

On Saturday, May 28, 2022, a significant event unfolded as Supriya Tai Sule, Member of Parliament, paid a special visit to Umang Institute of Autism and Multidisability Research Center, Latur. This center, a pioneering initiative jointly undertaken by Zilla Parishad Latur and Siddhivinayak Prathisthan,
represents India’s first center dedicated to Autism and Multi Disability Research.
During her visit, Supriya Tai Sule, along with other dignitaries, had the opportunity to inspect the Umang Center and gain insights into the various treatments and therapies offered within its premises. Chief Executive Officer Abhinav Goel Sir provided valuable information about the center’s comprehensive care programs.
Impressed by the facilities, services, and the remarkable sensory garden, Supriya Tai Sule expressed her admiration for Umang Center’s commendable work. She also pledged to support the establishment of similar centers in different districts and talukas across the country. In observance of the World Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3rd December, Umang Institute Latur orchestrated an inspiring Walkathon Rally dedicated to differently-abled children.
This remarkable event was inaugurated by Abhinav Goyal, the Chief Executive Officer of District W. Latur, who waved the green flag to commence the rally.
The Walkathon Rally commenced with a stirring road play by the Umang team, accompanied by Dr. Prashant Utage, who shared insightful information about the initiative. It set off from the Umang Center and traversed its path to the collector’s office, culminating at 7 am, accompanied by enthusiastic differently-abled children.
The rally reverberated with a resounding message from the Umang team, “Umang ek nai asha, umang ke saath nai disha,” signifying not just hope but also a new direction through Umang.
